Synopsis
Summer 1954. Bailiffs Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) are assigned to a remote island in the port of Boston to investigate the disappearance of a dangerous assassin (Emily Mortimer) detained in psychiatric hospital Ashecliffe, a prison for criminally insane run by the sinister Dr. John Cawley (Ben Kingsley).
